Alexandra Walton In April I accompanied Alexandra to the Youth America Grand Prix in New York. It was an experience we will never forget!! The YAGP is a massive global competition that runs for a full year and culminates in the New York final. Artistic Directors from the top schools from all over the world come to teach class, adjudicate the competition and oberve scholarship classes in order to offer opportunities to the dancers lucky enough to be selected. Alexandra danced beautifuly throughout the week and was offered short term scholarships to Houston Ballet Academy, Dutch National Ballet School and English National Ballet School together with a long term scholarship to Washington Ballet School for full time study. Alexandra decided to take up the short term offer from Houston Ballet Academy, which she attended in July. We are delighted to announce that during this stay Alexandra was offered a full scholarship to study at Houston Ballet Academy full time. We wish her all the best for this exciting next phase of her dancing career and look forward to keeping up with her progress.
