PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
We’ve had our first Board Meeting and we can
report that the new Board, with your help, is
ready to meet the challenges of the coming
year.
On the 3rd Wednesday in September we
will begin our new class. It is really important
that we have and keep a large class. We need
everyone to get out the word—talk to people
and help pass out flyers—where you live; at
your church, your clubs and where ever you
can. If you have ideas for places to leave flyers,
let a Board member know.
After our dance in August, we will be dark for 4
weeks. Don’t let your dancing get rusty—
attend our visitations, go to the Workshop at
Cowtown and visit the Grapestompers.
Besides going out dancing, we think it
would be fun to schedule a social event from
time to time so Club members can get together
and just have fun. For a starter, Bill and I are
hosting what we hope will be the 1st annual
Twirler Potluck BBQ and Game evening on
August 24th. Be on the lookout for further
information.
Jackie and Bill
Birthday wishes go to our members that are celebrating their Birthdays in August

Get well & speedy recover wishes go out to Alan Maudlsley, he had heart valve surgery July 25th, he’s doing well in his recovery.
Helen Shepherd will be having back surgery soon, wishing her all the best and a quick recovery.
Condolences to Frank Bezzina, on the passing of his brother. Also condolences go to Hope England who recently lost her son.
Claudia Bellante is going through treatments and can use our thoughts and prayers.
Say a prayer, give a call or send a card to our friends that have might need to know someone cares.
WHY DO I HAVE TO DONATE FOR FOOD AT THE DANCES??
We get that questions a lot. Well, the Canyon Lake POA wants to charge us for using the room and setting up the chairs and tables.
By purchasing food from the Lodge, we have avoided having to pay their fee which we could not afford. The food costs from $100 to $150 depending on what we have. Since Club members no longer have to bring food, we are asking that they donate to help pay for the food we purchase from the Lodge.
Club members, spouses and significant others are invited to
