The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal helps provide the criti-
cal funding needed to feed the hungry, shelter the
homeless, counsel those in despair and offer much-
needed assistance to the unemployed, especially today,
as the Coronavirus has affected so many of our neigh-
bors. Your gift to the 2020 Appeal will help to continue
these and other vital ministries, services and programs
that reach out to so many in need. Please visit
www.archdiocesofhartford.org/appeal/.
All funds contributed to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
are used exclusively for the purposes outlined in the
Appeal literature, No Appeal funds are ever used for
legal fees or settlements.
Phase I is Complete!! Thank you to everyone who contributed to
our campaign and made this possible.
There’s still time to support the missionary work of the
Church. This year’s collection supports the work of the
Dominican Friars in Kenya, East Africa. The missionaries
were unable to join us in person because of the Corona-
virus pandemic; nonetheless, we seek to assist them with
our prayers and financial support toward expanding space
for a chapel and provision of pastoral services to a growing
Catholic community, ministerial outreach to youth living in
very poor conditions and support for Kenyan Dominican
seminarians’ studies.
We ask for your generous response, especially in these
difficult times. Checks can be made out to The Catholic
Mission Aid Office and mailed to the Parish Office. Thank
you for your kindness.
IMPORTANT NOTES TO REMEMBER Liturgy of the Word for Children is taped on Thursdays and can now be found on our YouTube page (any day/time of the week) by using the following link: https://youtu.be/B0P02ggB59g
Please gather the children around the computer or iPad
when it is convenient for your family and join them in
watching the LWC video on YouTube. This will be the
format until further notice. If you have any questions,
please contact Eileen at [email protected]. Thank
you for your support.
Registration for Fall Classes - We will begin
registration for Fall classes on August 3rd. Since we are
unable to hold classes at Irving A. Robbins this coming
academic year, classes will be held here at the church
and partially on Zoom. The fees for this year are $50/
child to cover the expenses of the Pflaum Gospel
Weeklies and digital access. Payments can be
submitted online through WeShare or by mail to the
Parish Office. More information will follow via emails to
parents. Please register by August 20, 2020 so that
materials can be ordered for classes to begin in mid-
September. Please watch the bulletin and our website
for any further details and updates. If you have any
additional questions, please contact Eileen Dignazio,
Director of Religious Education, at
[email protected] or call the Parish Office.
