PRAYER AND WORSHIP
What is adoration? Why do we have it every First Friday?
Do I need to go? I’m not too keen about silence.
Thanks, Great question. Yes, Nativity hosts Eucharist
Adoration every First Friday. But we can go to adoration
every day if we want/need. Adoration answers part of the
question that Jesus asks us each and every day; “Who do
you say that I Am?” We go to visit Jesus in the Eucharistic
Jesus.
We like to spend time with friends? Yes or Yes? The <rst
week in August there was a news article that stated that,
“22% of millennials say they have “no friends.” Jesus is a
friend I like to visit so I can ask Him to bless my children
and grandchildren. Yes, there are times when I pray the
rosary, and there are times when I go and just sit with
Jesus. He asks us in Scripture if we can spend an hour
with Him (Mt. 26:40). There are times when the hour
seems to Qy by.
You know, when you spend time with a friend you tell
them not only your problems, but your joys, and the de-
sires of your heart. At other times, friends just spend
quiet time with each other and don’t spend a lot of energy
chattering. They are so comfortable with each other they
just listening to each other breath and perhaps touch
each other by sharing that air. If I may, just watch how
your grandparents in their 80s with 60 years of sacra-
mental marriage behind them, communicate with each
other without saying a word. Someone, I think it was St.
Padre Pio said, “God gave you 2 ears and 1 mouth to use
for His glory.” To a certain degree we can say that Adora-
tion gives us time to evaluate our daily lives and what is
important in life. I <rmly believe that when we take
(make) the time to listen to Jesus, we will hear His voice
and He will answer the desires of our heart.
Thanks again, for putting your question in the “Question
Jar” at the Ambassador’s table.
RESPECT LIFE: RESPECT LIFE: In light of the resent
shootings in America, Let us prayerful ask ourselves,
‘What media am I watching on TV? What games am I play-
ing on my devices that either build respect for life, or
deem and destroy it?’ Do I spend more time with media
than with prayer?
Elaine DeJohn William Salsberry Jan Pontia
¿Qué es la adoración? ¿Por qué lo tenemos cada primer viernes? ¿Necesito
irme? No estoy demasiado interesado en el silencio.
Gracias, gran pregunta.
no tienen amigos ".
amigos simplemente pasan tiempo juntos y no gastan mucha energía parlote-
ando.
