AUDITION FOR SINGERS

September 21st and 22nd

Workshop contemporary repertoire & production of Kopernikus

De Nederlandse Opera in collaboration with VOCAALLAB continues with the second workshop on

contemporary repertoire followed by a production of Claude Vivier’s Kopernikus, directed by Marcel

Sijm and conducted by Romain Bischoff.

Audition: September 21st and 22nd 2013

Workshop: November 20th - 30th 2013

Kopernikus: March 3rd - April 20th 2014 (incl. four performances)

Location: Het Muziektheater, Amsterdam

Age limit: Women 32y, Men 35y

You have to be available for all periods mentioned.

After the audition fourteen singers will be selected. A group of seven will work on contemporary

repertoire in general and the other group will focus their work on Kopernikus as preparation period

for the production in spring 2014.

For the audition you are asked to prepare:

- a Renaissance or baroque air;

- a song in the French language;

- a contemporary piece from the Viennese period (Webern, Berg, Schönberg);

- a solo, ensemble piece and poem from Kopernikus; (please see the attached document what

to prepare).
