Meet the speakersAl Kitchen, Director, Microsoft IT ShowcaseAs a director in Microsoft IT, Al is charged with leading the IT Showcase content strategy and development program that is chartered with creating the stories of how Microsoft does IT and sharing them with our customers. With over 20 years of experience in IT (technology, telecommunications, transportation and finance sectors) at blue-chip corporations, Al is an executive with extensive experience in content, program delivery, change management and business processes re-engineering on both a national and global scale. Al is an innovative and strategic influencer who has built a career by driving success by bridging the gap between business and technology groups.
Jim Adams, Senior Program Manager, Technologist & Storyteller, Microsoft IT ShowcaseJim Adams senior program manager (PM), technologist and storyteller, currently drives the development, production, and facilitation of Microsoft IT Showcase stories, papers, and video with a focus on sharing the Microsoft IT story to customers, partners and the broader business-technology industry. By doing so, he builds confidence and trust in our platform and enables customers in their own IT transformation. Previously, he was responsible for supporting the internal Microsoft Office 365 service comprised of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Skype for Business. His 16+ career at Microsoft has spanned many IT and product groups and includes senior PM and senior engineering PM roles focused on Enterprise Directory Management, infrastructure engineering, and SharePoint.
Seth Malcolm, Business Program Manager, Microsoft IT ShowcaseSeth Malcolm is a business program manager responsible for evangelizing cloud adoption inside and outside of Microsoft. He helps foster customer success by sharing Microsoft successes and lessons learned from its own cloud adoption journey. He has also managed large-scale infrastructure programs in the tech field for the past 17 years. In his 10 years with Microsoft IT, he has held a number of roles focused on IT infrastructure and technology adoption.

We are assuming an advocacy role as end-to-end service providers, and we engage customers, empower employees, optimize operations, and transform products like never before. Learn about our vision for this role and gain broad insight into how we approach security—a key element at the core of our transformation—with a strategy that supports the overall security mission at Microsoft.
SharePoint to the cloud Microsoft employees use SharePoint every day, so Microsoft IT had to be careful when it came time to move 185,000 sites and portals to the cloud. Hear about best practices for planning and conducting a move to the cloud, as well as lessons we learned when migrating the company to SharePoint Online.
