Ever wondered what makes an Italian language learning program better than others? It isthe course’s adopted methodology. The Pimsleur program uses a similar uniqueapproach. Although it is a bit expensive but surely brings quality in Italian languagelearning process. It adopts a brilliant learning method.
The Pimsleur Italian review course wasdevised by Dr. Pimsleur and is an all-audio course that is available through cassettes andCDs. Per day one needs to go through one lesson which ranges from one to one half hourlong duration. All lessons start with a conversation between two speakers that use Italian.There is an instructor also available that instructs the listener to learn and repeat wordsand phrases that the listener have heard inside the conversation. Post this, listener isallowed to participate in the conversation that he just heard in the beginning. It allows allindividuals to play varied roles in variety of situations. New materials are introduced andthe first minutes are for review of all lessons. Another plus about this course is that it isengaging. The technique adopted is so good that it allows the person to listen to aconversation and then post that prompt him or her to speak Italian words.
The course will ask the user to repeat the words in a new way in a fashion that one has notheard of that word before or have not even used. This makes the user to learn theprotocols of the language unknowingly. The verbs, ordering and the grammar are all learntin this unique process. It not only allows the user to learn Italian but also allows him tobecome proficient in it. The language is used creatively and in context rather than plainlylearning through phrases and vocabulary. The USP of the course is its simplicity. Much likethe learner’s native language, the new language is allowed to be learned only by hearingand emulating.
Apart from Pimsleur course there are other programs also available like Tell Me MoreItalian. Such courses have their own characteristic that makes them different from otherItalian learning courses. Hence, it is up to you to decide which course suits you best andwhich does not suit you well.
