This is the questionnaire that we handed out to receive feedback for the documentary, this will help us afterwards as it gives us an indication to what we need to improve on so that the documentary is the best it can possibly be. In conclusion the response we had was positive in terms of how many people liked the documentary although there were a few points which were mentioned which were considered important such as the lack of facts and exposition in the documentary. This was a common topic brought up in the results as the audience felt that there wasn’t enough substantial information in the opening and they would have enjoyed it better due to this. On terms of entertainment value there was a mixed response such as people rating less than 4 or 8 or 9’s. Some of the feedback given to why they enjoyed it included that the cutaways were interesting and related well to the content in the documentary, others also seemed to like the interviews and how it described the different opinions of people.

Print Advert ResultsWhen gathering feedback for the print advert we shown them the picture to the advert so they could comment on it. We based the advert off existing channel 4 print based adverts so that it looked professional and that it would fit in with the rest of the channel 4 adverts as they include conventions only seen in these adverts as well as conventions of other adverts. The majority of people thought that the advert was good and portrayed the documentary well with the picture as it showcased the subject of the documentary without revealing too much. Overall the audience think that they would be willing to watch the documentary after seeing this advert except for a few responses which indicated that the topic of the documentary wouldn’t appeal to them, next time we should spend more researching on what documentary subjects are popular.

Radio Advert ResultsThe radio advert feedback was very positive as the overall impression was that they enjoyed it. Some of the things they enjoyed was the music in the background, this is the first thing which is heard and grabs the audiences attention as it’s recognisable. The audio is important in a radio trailer as there is no medium of video to show information. The majority of people would watch the documentary after listening to this as they think it sounds professional and advertises the documentary well in terms of sound and the information in it provided by the voiceover.
