Davis, and, when available, works with local schoolchildren, teaching the arts of singing and
songwriting.

Mansour Oriental Rug Gallery Package Value = $1,300 +
Mansour fell in love with oriental rugs as a boy in Persia, and spent his summers learning
the rug business from his uncle. In 1979, he opened his first rug gallery in Old Sacramento.
Thirty years later, Mansour’s ardor for oriental rugs has not abated, and his business has
grown and flourished. His Sacramento and Roseville locations contain more than 8,000 rugs,
including antiques and new creations. Each rug in the showroom has been hand knotted by

Robert Traverso Wines, by Carli and Bob Traverso
Stylistically, these wines are elegant, food-friendly and fruit-forward, but subtlety expressed and
well-balanced, with supple mouth-feel and a soft, smooth finish. Bob Traverso is a former City
Manager for the City of Davis who studied wine-making via UC Davis Extension while working
full-time and raising a family. Red wine was a staple in his home during his Italian immigrant
family upbringing. After retiring, he turned his passion for viticulture and enology into his new
career, and began his boutique winery operation in Davis in 2001.
