Content to be exactly as per requirements and set list of orchestral excerpts below. Please note that failure adhere to the requirements may result in disqualification. Please consult with the Orchestra Manager if you have any concerns.

Studio quality DVD recording.

Recording Engineer to confirm in writing that the recording is unedited and referee to affirm that the recording is a true and honest representation of the candidate’s playing (a form for this purpose is available from the Orchestra Manager, and on our website).

The audition should be recorded as no more than three continuous takes, being one take for each round where round order is specified, or one take for solo items and up to two takes for excerpt items. Where two takes are used, candidates may choose at what point to split

the list.

Each item on the DVD recording must be formatted as a separate track (or file) for easy access. A detailed play list must be included.

All bar numbers are inclusive unless specified otherwise. The Solo items to be performed with piano accompaniment. Piano introduction should be shortened to a few bars in the Haydn. Candidates are at liberty to use whichever pitched trumpet they prefer for the Haydn.
