Attention Students: 2017 IEEE BROADCAST SYMPOSIUM STUDENT POSTER SUBMISSION NOW OPEN SESSION INFORMATION The Student Poster Competition recognizes the individual efforts of students who are actively working toward an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral-level degree Multidisciplinary research projects are encouraged Papers on the research topic must be submitted to the Broadcast Technology Society by September 1, 2017 Papers will be reviewed by a panel of BTS professionals Authors of accepted papers will be notified by a BTS member about creating a poster on the papers topic to display at the IEEE Broadcast Symposium Papers can be authored by more than one person, however one author is required to be present at the Symposium to display the poster and answer attendee questions Posters will be displayed in the exhibit hall during all exhibit hours on October 10 & 11 On Thursday, October 12th there will be a submission chosen as the winning poster, the author will be presented with a winning certificate, prize and their paper will be published in the Broadcast Technology Society publication. SUBMISSION CRITERIA The competition is open only to full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree program relating to the broadcast industry Awards and certificates are presented only to student presenters Completed doctorates, post-doctoral scholars, and professionals are not eligible to compete; however, as co-authors, they can be listed by the presenting student on the poster itself The poster presenter will receive a free conference registration, any additional person attending the conference will have to purchase a full conference registration Each applicant can submit only one paper to be considered, submissions are due by Sept. 1, 2017 Presenters are required to be present and display their posters for the entire judging period, students who do not follow this rule will be disqualified Board assignments are given onsite at registration Submit all papers to [email protected] by September 1, 2017

The IEEE Broadcast Technology Society/AFCCE Jules Cohen Memorial Scholarship

The IEEE Broadcast Technology Society and the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers will award scholarships of up to $10,000 to promising undergraduate and graduate students at accredited U.S. universities interested in a career in broadcast engineering.
