I was honored to spend this past Memorial Day weekend meeting with veterans and other local leaders to honor our service men and women who died in combat. It was inspiring to speak with folks in Prescott as well as Prescott Valley who joined me in

remembering our nation's greatest heroes.

Meeting with Billie Orr and Ken Bennett at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to speak at the second annual Honor and

Remember event in Prescott Valley. It was a privilege to meet with Gold Star Mothers who were recognized for the sacrifices made by their sons and daughters.

Meeting with members of the American Legion Color Guard before speaking in

Prescott.

Visiting the grave site of Medal of Honor recipient, Nichols Foran, at the Prescott

National Cemetery.

Before the Memorial Day festivities, I grabbed breakfast with Prescott Councilman Jim

Lamerson and met with local law enforcement in Prescott.

Visiting with some community members at Double K Shooting Sports in Dewey

including the two owners of the store Kevin and Ken.

Had a great meeting with the Quartzsite Chamber of Commerce to check out the big map of the Arizona Peace Trail and other trails. They had 3,000 winter visitors here

this past year.

Meeting with some good folks at the Quartzsite Senior Center this past Thursday.

Great turnout for another Coffee with the Congressman in Quartzsite. Lots of

discussion about public land management, veteran issues and the Antiquities Act.

Pictured center-right is Judy Howerton who I was honored to help acquire medals & awards for her deceased father Jack O. Parks that he earned from the Navy during

both WWII & the Korean War.

Met with Buckskin Fire Chief Chris Chambers who took me out on the Colorado River and discussed boating safety and weekend tourism safety.

We also toured one of the more popular spots to boat in Parker: the Parker Dam.

...and they were crazy enough to let me drive!
