Welcome to the 2016 Georgia Pharmacy Convention!

First things first: The convention website has every-thing you need to know about what’s happening (it’s even mobile-friendly!): GPhAconvention.com.

Even better, download the convention app, which also lets you connect with other attendees, share photos and comments, and get the latest updates. Links to Andriod and iPhone versions are at GPhAconvention.com/app.

If you have questions, concerns, confusion, or need any kind of assistance, we’ll do our best to help you (within reason). Start at the GPhA registration desk and ask a staff member. If the Expo Hall is open, you can also visit the GPhA booth.

Here are the basics you need to know about the 2016 Georgia Pharmacy Convention. Have fun!

NAME BADGESYou must wear your name badge for admittance to any session, event, or function, including the Expo Hall. No exceptions.

Children. Children are not permitted in any meeting or education session, including the general sessions.

Under close parental supervision, guests under 18 are permitted in the Expo Hall provided they have a child-attendee badge.

You can pick up a child’s badge at the registration desk before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday or Friday. (You’ll need to sign a waiver.)

TICKETSSeveral events, such as the President’s Bash, require a ticket. You’ll find them tucked in behind your name badge.

Drink tickets. Every guest re-ceives two drink tickets for each event where drinks are served: The Expo Hall receptions on Thursday and Friday, and the President’s Beach Bash on Saturday. You can use them for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and you can purchase drinks as well.

PharmPAC reception. Only attendees who have invested at least $250 in PharmPAC in calendar year 2016 will receive tickets for the PharmPAC reception on Friday. Those tickets will also be tucked behind your name badge.

We’re happy to provide a “+1” ticket for non-pharma-cist spouses of Diamond, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium investors. Simply request one at the registration desk.

And you can make your PharmaPAC investment right there — at the registration desk or GPhA expo booth!

GENERAL INFORMATION

Page 2: ATTENDEE KWIK GUIDE - Andrew Kantor's Place · Rewards game! The idea is simple: Whenever you attend a general session, CPE pro-gram, the Expo Hall, an academy luncheon, or any other

All CPE credits for the 2016 Georgia Pharmacy Con-vention are ACPE approved.

CPE Materials. All CPE materials are posted at GPhAconvention.com and will remain there after convention. Feel free to download and print any materials ahead of time; the resort business office has printers available for a fee as well.

CPE 2-Step Verification Procedure. Step 1: Sign the attendance sheet in each session you attend, and provide your name, e-mail address, NABP ePID, and birthdate.

Step 1a: Keep a record of which CPE sessions you attend! You’ll need to know them to complete the online evaluation later.

Step 2: In case we didn’t get your info, you will receive an e-mail with links to the online evaluation forms for every CPE course offered that day. You will need to complete the surveys only for the programs you attended. Evaluations will be available through Friday, June 24.

You will only receive CPE credit if you sign the attendance sheets and complete the evaluations. Credits will be uploaded to the CPE Monitor by Friday, August 12.

IMPORTANT NOTESAfter August 12, you can log into MYCPEmonitor.net to review the credits you received from the conven-tion. GPhA can only adjust credits within 60 days of the course, so if there is a discrepancy please notify us as soon as possible so that we may investigate.

We do not e-mail statements of credit. All credit for ACPE-accredited programs are uploaded to CPE Monitor. In order for us to do that (and for you to get credit) we must have your NABP ePID and birth-date on file. There is a place for this information on the attendance sheet for each session. If you do not have an NABP ePID, please visit MYCPEmonitor.net to create an account.

It’s like “The Hunger Games” meets “The Price is Right,” but without A) death or B) Bob Barker. It’s a fun and exciting game played in the Expo Hall

that will have you cheering — and maybe even winning the big pot.

There are two Draw Downs: one on Thursday ($50 tickets) and one on Friday ($100 tickets).

Here’s how it works: Buy your tickets — lots of tickets. Get your numbers, and if your number is called, it’s out — like a reverse lottery.

If you survive, your chance of winning grows ... and so does the excitement.

Eventually the survivors dwindle and the question remains: Do they quit and split the pot? Or do they take a chance and hope for the big score?

All proceeds from Draw Down! go to the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation, to advance its educational mission.

You must be present to win!

You’re an engaged member — now prove it with the GPhA Membership Rewards game!

The idea is simple: Whenever you attend a general session, CPE pro-gram, the Expo Hall, an academy luncheon, or any other convention

event, you earn points ... collect enough and you’ll earn the title of “Engaged Member. ”

At the Saturday evening President’s Beach Bash (aka, the “Lance Dance”), we’ll reward each engaged member with an exclusive gift.

So how do you collect points? Simple — just use the Georgia Pharmacy Con-vention 2016 app (GPhAconvention.com/app).

Every time you attend an event, use the app’s Calendar of Events to rate and review it. For each event you at-tend and review you earn a point.

If you earn enough points, congrats — you’re an engaged member!
