In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, sll bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. Major John McCrae School Poppy Project To honour the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I Folkestone and Hythe District Council generously gave us a grant from the Shepway WWI Memorial Fund to purchase the materials needed for the display. A huge thank you to Mrs Milton who organised the community crochet poppy project and all of the children, staff, parents and grandparents who were involved in creang the sea of poppies display! We have over 200 crocheted poppies, most of which are aached to postcards with messages of gratude and remembrance to those involved in conflict. We were joined for a Remembrance assembly by representaves of the Cheriton and Morehall branch of the Royal Brish Legion.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. School Poppy Project

To honour the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I Folkestone and Hythe District Council generously

gave us a grant from the Shepway WWI Memorial Fund to purchase the materials needed for the display.

A huge thank you to Mrs Milton who organised the community crochet poppy project and all of the children,

staff, parents and grandparents who were involved in creating the sea of poppies display! We have over 200

crocheted poppies, most of which are attached to postcards with messages of gratitude and remembrance to

those involved in conflict. We were joined for a Remembrance assembly by representatives of the Cheriton and

Morehall branch of the Royal British Legion.
