I am using a song by the band Imagine

Dragons.

They are of the same genre I wanted to

explore initially and so my genre research

still applies.

They take influence from the fantasy genre

in their lyrics and instrumentation.

I want to explore the world through the eyes of a man who has not been a part of society in years and this relates to my initial idea regarding mental illness.

I will be doing this through the use of flashing lights and saturation in separate shots, while also fracturing parts of the music video in order to demonstrate unstable vision.

I will be taking influence from television

shows, using this intertextuality in order to

create an apocalyptic impression.

The predominant influence will be the

recent 2012 ‘Derren Brown – Apocalypse’

and 2008 ‘City of Ember’ (Gil Kenan).
