ATS Steel Decking is an e fective, durable and permanent metal formwork product providing fast and e icient applicationof suspended concrete slabs. ATS Steel Decking o fers excellent spanning capabilities, high composite strength andminimal de lection.

Zinc-coated high-tensile steel sets a new standard for structural steel decking in the building industry. Developed by ATSBuilding Products speci ically for the steel decking market, delivers excellent durability. It is ideal for both concrete and steelframe construction.

ATS300 Steel Decking is cold formed section manufactured from Australian Steel, hot-dip zinc coated and hi-tensile steelstrip in a range of base metal thicknesses (BMT). Rolled from a G550 (550 MPa Yield Stress) steel for high strength andgood bonding with concrete and reduce steel reinforcement usage. Base metal thickness (BMT) of 0.60mm, 0.75mm,0.9mm & 1.0mm . The coating class Z350 (350g/m2) in accordance with AS1397, provides good resistance against corrosion.

ATS Steel Decking Proper ies & Advantages

Temporary propping shall be provided according to ATS Steel Deck formwork span table or instructions from a quali ied structural engineer to avoid excessive de lection and prevent failure of formwork.

A minimum bearing width of 50mm for edge suppor s and 100mm for intermediate suppor s and temporary props must be provided unless approved by a quali ied structural engineer.

All propping must be continuous across the width of ATS Steel Deck formwork. The design, documentation, erection and removal of propping must comply with AS3610.

300mm Strip Width > Easy transpor & handling > Less o f-cuts and waste

Interlocking Ribs > Quick installation > Reduced de lection

Rolled Formed from G550 Steel > High tensile strength and good bonding with concrete > Reduced steel reinforcement usage

Flat So it Finish > Visually pleasing > Easy to clean and paint > Easy bolting to So it

Permanent Formwork > Minimal propping > No stripping of formwork required

Sheet Placement

FasteningThe sheets shall be ixed to provide resistance against upli forces and lateral movement.

Appropriate ixing methods may be chosen from: welds, nails or screws. Headed studs welded through sheets to structural steel in composite beam design are also considered to have adequate resistance against upli .

However, some temporary ixing shall be provided to hold down the deck prior to stud welding. Fixing of the sheets should be provided adjacent to every rib over each suppor .

Edge Form

Edge forms are lipless C-sections rolled from light gauge steel.

It can be easily trimmed, bent, spliced and fastened to achieve the ideal edge inish. The bottom lange of the C-section can be fastened to structural steel or the underside of ATS Steel Deck sheeting. The top lange shall be braced using steel straps at maximum of 600mm centres

The edge ribs of ATS Steel Deck sheets aredesigned to be interlocked. It is recommended toposition a new sheet at an angle to a laid sheet, thenslowly rotating it till the ribs are locked in place.
