ATS Operation Guidelines 0BAbout ATS Operations Guidelines
1 About ATS Operations Guidelines
Alvarion Training Services (ATS) Operation Guidelines provides detailed
information regarding the education and training programs in effect in
Alvarion.
Detailed Agendas are presented for each certification track, as well as target
audiences and prerequisites.
Prices for the services described are listed in a separate document, the
Alvarion Customer Service Price List.
2 Executive Summary
As the leader in the broadband wireless access (BWA) market, Alvarion is
committed to the highest levels of products and services offered to its
customers and partners.
Alvarion Training Services (ATS) is the entity in charge of providing
Education Services through which the information on latest Alvarion
products developments flows to users, strategic channels, distributors and
resellers. These services provide high quality frontal instruction as well as
practical hands-on sessions, intended to enhance participants capabilities
to install / operate / support Alvarion systems.
For Alvarion users, these education services increase the staff competence,
providing the skills it needs to raise its performance and the efficiency of its
operations.
For Alvarion strategic channels, distributors and resellers staff, the
education services provide the detailed information needed for successful
market support of the products.
Education Services are provided on customer premises as well as on ATS
modern premises in Tel Aviv, Israel; Mountain View CA / US; Paris, France;
Bucharest, Romania; Montevideo, Uruguay, Mexico City, Mexico.
Education Services are also available in entities nominated as Alvarion

ATS Operation Guidelines 1BExecutive Summary
2.1 Certification Programs
Organized as task oriented certification tracks, these programs are targeted
to operations / support staff in Alvarion equipment user entities as well as
in Alvarion strategic channels, distribution channels and reseller entities.
Different certification tracks are defined for each Alvarion Product Line,
targeted to different staff categories. Each track has a distinct curriculum,
tailored to its target audiences specific task in the organization, such as
installers, Network Operation Center (NOC) staff, Operation & Maintenance
Center (O&MC) staff, etc.
Individuals that succeed in passing the relevant tests are granted
certification, for a limited period of time. The validity of the certification may
be extended, by participating in updating sessions as advertised from time
to time.
2.2 On-The-Job (OJT) Training
While all Certification Programs include invaluable hands-on sessions,
nothing can be compared with the experience gathered through actual
installations in the field. When more actual experience with installing /
operating the systems is required, OJT is the right tool to be used. During
OJT sessions Alvarion technical staff provides on-site support and guidance
for actual installation and / or activation of Alvarion products. OJT allows
the user or channel to take advantage of Alvarions technical staffexperience and expertise minimizing the chances of making errors at the
very beginning of the operation.
OJT is the best tool for increasing user or channels self-confidence in
installing and operating Alvarion products.
2.3 Tutorial Seminars
Dealing with generic technology topics and technology implementation in
Alvarion equipment, Tutorial Seminars provide guidelines for correct
integration of Alvarion equipment into communications networks, as well as
for the integration of Alvarion equipment parameters into radio and
capacity planning tools.
Tutorial seminars assume that participants have significant knowledge in
the relevant field, and present only guidelines related to the way in which
specific technologies and tools should be used in an Alvarion equipment
populated environment.
Tutorial seminars do not entitle participants to any Certification.
