Perez Earns Weekly HonorGwinnett right-hander Williams Perez was named the International League Pitcher of the Week following a one-hit shutout of the Charlotte Knights last Friday. Perez walked just one batter and fanned seven in the first shutout of his career, a 4-0 Gwinnett victory.

It is the second weekly honor of Perez’s career, as he was also named Pitcher of the Week for the Southern League in 2014. The 24-year-old right-hander owns a career minor league record of 32-26 with a 3.26 ERA, and has made 26 ap-pearances (23 starts) with Atlanta, going 7-6 with a 4.81 ERA.
