BECSysBW Backwash Controls

BECSysBW backwash controls provide fully configurable automatic filter operation control. The BECSysBW can control up to 4 filters standard, expandable up to 8. The controller is equipped with failsafe settings that protect the filter system and other components in the mechanical system from damage. The controllers can be factory prewired with 18/3 SOW connecting cable and come with rain tight connectors that are quick and easy to install for both floor mounted and stacked filtration systems.

The controllers have dry contacts for control of the circulation pump, heater, remote alarm and auxiliary contacts.

The backwash cycle can be initiated from a 28-day timer, low flow rate, flow volume limit, manually or with pressure differential inputs. Sensor inputs and event data are logged within the controller and accessible remotely, along with system operational parameters, through BECSys for Windows software. The BECSysBW is the most advanced filter control system available in the aquatics market today.

TMNational Line Connecting Piping Kits National filtration systems connecting piping kits are quick and easy to install for both floor mounted and stacked filtration systems. With operational flow rates up to 11,200 U.S.G.P.M. with flow velocities of 10 ft./ sec or less the connecting piping ensures minimal head loss and balanced flow in single to eight tank systems. The connecting piping kits are modular in design eliminating dimensional stack-up during installation while providing complete access to all filter components. Minimal floor space is required which can easily accommodate future expansion of the filter system. The influent/ effluent connecting headers range in sizes from 3” to 20” while all waste piping is sized for single filter backwash requirements in each system. The connecting piping is available with either grooved or flanged connections to simplify installation.

The dual diaphragms are compression molded with EPDM rubber composite material. The valve body and diaphragms are totally non-corrosive and have a high gloss gel-coat finish with UV protection.

The diaphragm valve kit is water actuated and available in both manual and automatic operation with no external moving parts. The circulation pump can continue operation during backwash cycle initiation without creating water hammer. Filtered water is utilized for backwash in multiple tank installations or two diaphragm valves can be used in single tank configurations. The backwash diaphragm is operated through the use of an integrally mounted actuator that provides a spring assisted mechanical seal to prevent siphoning, air introduction or water leakage (through the backwash line)

during filter operation or system shutdown. The diaphragm valve is available with either grooved or flanged connections to simplify installation.
