The display will include various books, posters and artwork from students. The motivation behind the display is to educate students and staff on the importance of inclusion and in particular, new state laws that embrace minority groups and their collective stories. New Info…Attention Juniors and Seniors who are possibly eligible for the State Seal of Biliteracy or the GUSD Bilingual Competency Award: Informational meeting about the Bilingual Competency Exam will take place on Tuesday, 1/21 during lunch and during enrichment in the Cybrary. You must attend the meeting to sign up for the test! GUSD Bilingual Competency Exams will take place on Saturday February 29, 2020 at GHS. Armenian, Korean, and Tagalog will be from 8:00AM-12:00PM. Arabic, Russian, and Spanish will be given 1:00PM-5:00PM. Students may take only one exam per testing session. Registration for the BCE will begin middle of next week and will close on January 31, 2020. All males 17-18 years of age: Under federal law, virtually all men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday. However, the Selective Service System now accepts early submission of registration information by 17-year-old men. The Agency holds their registration information and automatically enters their data into the system when they turn 18. CTE (Career Technical Education) is offering exciting after-school classes for the Spring 2020 semester: Please visit gusd.net/cte if you are interested in signing up for Game Design, Water Safety (Be a certified Lifeguard) or Cosmetology. Honoring the volunteer and public-service legacy of Dr. Ralph E. White and his wife, Eleanor, this additional scholarship

community service, extenuating circumstances, extra-curricular activities, leadership, PTA involvement and/or school

questions. You will also need to provide a letter of recommendation and your official transcript. This is not an online
