!!!Dear Participant,!!Race weekend is right around the corner and we’re getting excited to welcome you to Ahmedabad for the bSafal Half Marathon. This year we will be hosting three different distances; the Half Marathon (21km), 10km and 5km.!!What you are reading—the 2015 bSafal Half Marathon Amdabad Participant Guide—includes all the key information you need to know to be prepared and ready to have a!great race experience.!!We created this guide as a step-by-step manual to assist you during race week, from your visit!to the Race Expo, to race morning logistics and during the race itself.!!Our top priority is to make sure you have a safe and successful experience at the bSafal Half Marathon. Please do your part by reading through all the information in this guide, and bring it with you on race weekend. !The Race!!!bSafal Half Marathon Amdavad is created to provide all the running enthusiasts a platform to come together for a road race. Marathons have been a part of Olympic events since its inception. More than 500 marathons are organized around the world. Marathon is the most participated event and every year more and more people are coming forward to join the running community and are contributing for the world to be a better and healthier place.!!Our Vision is to provide the best Running and Multi-Sport events in India with a Mission of having a healthy society for all.!!With a goal of improving people's awareness towards health and fitness LS Sports is organizing a running event in "Aapnu Amdavad". Since past few years we have seen a considerable amount of increase in the participation in Marathons. With a strong core team of experts and past experiences we are here to provide a huge running platform to come together and celebrate health.!!!!!Cause!!Regular running is one of the most effective ways to get into shape. It has many benefits these include potential weight loss, improves cardiovascular and respiratory health, improves cardiovascular fitness, and helps in strengthening of bones but most of all it helps in improving self esteem and emotional state. In today's competitive world running has been known to be a great stress buster.!!Thus for marathons, it is very common to associate themselves with various different charities going from different cancer runs to NGO such as CRY. There have been instances where marathons were organised to raise funds for specified charities (through fees or sponsorships).!!This year bSafal Half Marathon Amdavad is bringing forward a chance to RUN AGAINST CORRUPTION, an opportunity to create awareness about a "Non-corrupt society". In India 40% of the population have had first hand experience using or paying bribes for getting job done. And now imagine thousands of people gathering up and running towards eradication of corruption and grease money.!!So let us come together to participate in a fight to remove this addiction with grease money and leave a cleaner tomorrow for ourselves and our children. Let us do something today so that our younger generation can look upto us and stand up or in our case RUN for something which has a meaning.!!!

Event Schedule!!!Packet Pick-Up!!1st January, 2015 between 5-8pm. for Corporate Registrations !2nd January between 10am-8pm for Local Registrations!3rd January for outside Ahmedabad participants between 10am-2pm!!Venue: The Sports Club of Gujarat Ltd.!Next to Sardar Patel Stadium, Navrangpura,Ahmedabad!2nd Floor Multipurpose Hall, Entry from outside only.!!Please bring Identification and proof of entry to packet pick-up to ensure ease of receiving your packet.!!!Race Day!!The event location is AES(Ahmedabad Education Society) ground, Opp. Sarthi Party Plot on road from Sanjeevani Hospital to Gurudwara.!!Venue opens: 5:30am!Warm up by Life Fitness Point : 6:10am!First Flag off: 6:30am (10km)!Warm up by Life fitness Point: 6:35am!Second Flag off : 6:40am (21km)!Performance by Zumba Aerobics group!Third Flag off : 7am (5km)!!Post Race!!After the run all runners come back to venue in ground & get refreshment, medal at medal counter & physio at physiotherapy designated area. There will be DJ playing music where participants can dance to the tunes.!!!!!!!!!!!!

!EVENT RULES & REGULATIONS!!Payment can be done via cash or demand draft in the name of LS Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. The last day for receipt of application forms at drop-off locations is 25th December, 2014. Forms received after this date will not be accepted. The applicant must pick his/her own packet up pre-race and show photo-identity proof (of the confirmed participant), eg. Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN card, Election card or Driving license. An entry form must be accompanied with the requisite fee as per the race category. A form received without the correct fee or no fee will be rejected. For entry acceptance, the 'Disclaimer' must be signed. If the applicant is below the age of 18 years, his/her guardian must also sign the disclaimer and write his/her relation with the applicant on the form. Entry Cancellation: Requests for cancellation and refunds will not be entertained. Details on bib collection will be posted on the event website (www.halfmarathonamdavad.com &www.lssports.in) at a later date and will also be emailed to all registered/confirmed participants. The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the applicant under this application form is at the sole discretion of LS Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. organizing team. And cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances, and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.!!Confirmation: Every participant/group will receive an email confirmation once registration fees have been received.!!For Collecting Prize Award!It is compulsory to have PAN card at time of collecting prizes from office of LS Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. In case of minor not having PAN Card TDS deduction will be in accordance with existing rules of government. The award will be given after 1 week of the event to winners which each participant may note.!!!RACE COURSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME. IF LS SPORTS RECEIVES A NOTIFICATION THAT THE COURSE IS TO CHANGE; WE WILL RELAY THIS INFORMATION TO PARTICIPANTS VIA WEBISTE, FACEBOOK, &/OR EMAIL, AND DO SO IN THE QUICKEST WAY POSSIBLE. COURSE CHANGES AND TIME START CHANGES ARE SOMETIMES OUT OF OUR CONTROL BECAUSE WE HAVE TO WORK WITH THE CITY OF AHMEDABAD. WHILE THE CITY OF AHMEDBAD DOES AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB WORKING WITH US AND SUPPORTING OUR RACES, CHANGES MAY OCCUR DUE TO UNSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. WITH THIS, THE CITY AND LS SPORTS WILL ALWAYS PUT THE SAFETY OF CIVILIANS FIRST AND FOREMOST AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO MAKE LAST MINUTE CHANGES IF NEEDED.!!!!!!!!
