The radar will detect movement in all weather conditions and the software will display the tracks as an overlay on a map of the airport area. The software also utilises the ADS-B data which is transmitted by aircraft (and potentially other ground targets) to report their position and details. By comparing the tracks observed from the radar with the position of known-good targets reporting ADS-B, the software is able to identify possible threats or security breaches from non-authorised personnel or vehicles. An alarm area may be configured and any target that is detected by the radar inside that area, but does not have a supporting ADS-B response, can generate an alarm condition. The rugged PTZ camera incorporates video and thermal cameras to ensure images can be captured day and night. The PTZ is configured to automatically follow a target, based on radar detections, once the alarm condition has been triggered. Intelligent filtering and processing of the radar and ADS-B messages ensures that the false alarm rate is minimised, whereas small targets are quickly detected. Manufactured to the highest standards, the Athena system offers a modular solution to open space detection. Available in four ranges from 150m to 1,350m the panels can be combined to provide 360 degree coverage. Athena ADS-B Radar + camera systemIntelligent video detection for airportsThe Athena ADS-B intelligent video detection system has been specially designed for airports to identify unauthorised entry in control zone and restricted zone.

Key features: ■ Low maintenance flat panel radar ■ Rugged PTZ video/thermal camera ■ Windows-based software application (Windows 7 or 8) ■ Display of radar tracks ■ Overlay graphics ■ Map display ■ Camera integration and control ■ Manual camera control ■ Automatic slew-to-cue based on radar track ■ ADS-B input via ASTERIX CAT-21 or raw 112-bit extended squitter. ■ Filtering of radar tracks based on ADSB proximity ■ Alarm generation ■ Optional Recording ■ Multiple camera feeds ■ Multiple radars (same or different models) ■ Slew-to-cue to newest or nearest alarm, or cyclic through all current alarms ■ Touch-screen support ■ PTZ Joystick support ■ Network or local camera input ■ Pelco-D camera control interface

Aeron TiThe Aeron TI employs DRS’ proven un-cooled of 320 x 240 (DA) and high

resolution 640x480 (DB), 17μm VOx thermal imaging technologies to provide

man detection up to 3.4 kilometres. The thermal utilises ICE to enhance

contrast and features fixed or zoom lenses of 3x or 6x optical zoom, unique

in a housing of this size. All models also offer simultaneous video verification

provided by a 36x zoom module or a 30x HD zoom module.
