One Day Seminar on "Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Systems" Date: 21/09/2016 (Wednesday) Time: 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm Place: Seminar Hall, Phase I, ACE Name of the Speaker: Dr. Sushil Thale A Seminar on "Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Systems" was organized by Electrical Engineering Department dated 21st September 2016 from 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm. The key note speaker was Dr. Sushil Thale, Dean in Research & Development Centre, Fr. C. Roudrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi. The seminar was arranged for TE and BE students of Electrical engineering department, ACE. There was a question and answer session at the end in which students participated, raised their doubts and discussed university syllabus and question papers.

2. One Day Workshop on “Electrical Wiring” Date: 22/09/2016 (Thursday) Time: 09:00 am to 05:00 pm Place: Electrical Machine & Switchgear Lab, ELEC Comp/ Project Lab, Phase I, ACE Topic: Hands on Training in Electrical Wiring & Maintenance, JAM and NI Multisim Software Simulation A One day Workshop was organized by Electrical Engineering Department; ACE on “Electrical Wiring” dated 22nd Sept 2016 for FE and SE Electrical students conducted by TE Electrical students. The motive of organizing this workshop was to provide Hands on Training in Wiring & Maintenance, JAM (Just A Minute) competition to improve student’s communication skills, to give Practical Exposure and Hands on Training on NI Multisim Software for circuit simulation.

Students displayed various projects:- Staircase wiring and Godown wiring Switchboard, Fuse and MCBs working and ratings CRO and Frequency Generator working and features involved Construction, Working and Testing of Mixer Grinder Working and Faults in Tube light Ceiling Fan Construction, Working and Faults

3. One Day Workshop on “PCB Designing & Technical Paper Writing” Date: 23/09/2016 (Friday) Time: 09:00 am to 05:00 pm, Place: Seminar Hall, ELEC Simulation Lab, ADIC Lab, Project Lab, Phase I, ACE A One day Workshop was organized by Electrical Engineering Department, ACE on “PCB Designing & Technical Paper Writing” dated 23rd Sept 2016 conducted by Departmental Faculties for TE and BE Electrical students from 9 AM to 5 PM in Phase 1 Presentation Hall, Electrical Software Simulation Lab and Project Lab. The motive of organizing this workshop was to provide Hands on Training in PCB Designing and guidance of writing a Technical paper, BE Project Thesis and doing Research.The entire day workshop was organized, coordinated and conducted by departmental faculties for the benefit and up gradation of TE and BE Electrical students.

4. One Day Seminar on Training on “Patenting & Legalities”

Date: 27/09/2016 Time: 09:00 am to 05:00 pm Place: Seminar Hall, Phase 3, ACE

A One day Seminar on “Patenting & Legalities” was organized by EMBER and IEDC cell of Atharva College of Engineering dated 27nd Sept 2016 for faculties as well as students of college of engineering from 9 AM to 5 PM in Phase 3 Seminar Hall. The keynote speakers were Mr. Varun Sharma (Patent lawyer, IP consultant) and Dr. Jonathan Joshi (CEO Eduvance). The motive of organizing this seminar was to spread awareness among faculties and students regarding procedure for drafting and filing Patents and Legalities involved. 5. Report on One Day Seminar on "Microgrids and Distributed Generation"

Date: 14/03/2017 Time: 11:00 am to 03:00 pm Place: Phase I Presentation Hall, ACE Name of Eminent Speakers: Prof. Mini Rajeev, Mr. Prabhakaran and Dr. Sushil Thale A Seminar on "Microgrids and Distributed Generation" was organized by Electrical Engineering Department in collaboration with IEEE Atharva Student Chapter dated 14th March 2017 from 11:00 am to 03:00 pm. The invited speakers were Prof. Mini Rajeev, Mr. Prabhakaran and Dr. Sushil Thale. The seminar was arranged for SE and TE students of Electrical engineering department, ACE. There were three inspiring sessions/presentations covering challenges in implementing microgrids, modes of operation, advantages & limitations, interlink converters, dispatchable sources and distributed generation. There was Q & A session at the end of each session in which students participated and cleared their doubts. Thus, all three speakers covered various aspects associated with Microgrids & Distributed Generation and spent their precious time and valuable knowledge for the betterment of the students and the faculties.

6. Three Days Workshop/ Hands on Training on "Advanced Micro-Controller & its Applications"

Date: 21/03/2017 to 23/03/2017 Time: 10:00 am to 04:00 pm Place: Presentation Hall and Electrical Project Lab. Phase 1, ACE Three days Workshop/Hands on Training on "Advanced Micro-Controller and its Applications" was organized by Electrical Engineering Department in collaboration with Atharva IEEE Student Chapter dated 21st, 22nd and 23rd March 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm for SE and TE Electrical students of Atharva College of Engineering. The said workshop was successfully conducted by Electrical departmental faculties of ACE. The motive of organizing this workshop was to provide hands on training to students which will help them in establishing kits in labs, doing research on advanced micro-controllers and in implementing BE projects.
