ASEAN TOURISM FORUM (ATF) is an annual event that has the objective of promoting the tourism among cooperation of all ASEAN members to attract the tourists to come to travel in Southeast Asia both from its own region and other parts of the world. To promote the tourism thoroughly, the members of ASEAN countries agreed to form ASEAN TOURISM FORUM in order to support the Single Destination, which is arranged at the different location every year by its host member.

ASEAN TOURISM FORUM (ATF) was firstly held in 1981 in Malaysia and it is a great honor that Thailand has been an ATF host for six times including 2018. ATF 2018 in Thailand is considered to be not only the sixth time that Thailand is a host, but also the 37th of ASEAN TOURISM FORUM (ATF) in January 22-26, 2018 at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (CMECC).The show is organized by Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Your application is very important, as it helps us identify your needs at the ATF 2018. The more details you provide at registration the quicker we will be able to process your application. Please note that the deadline is on 30 September 2017

Buyer qualification All buyer registration applications received at ATF Secretariat are screened for approval by the ATF Buyer Selection Committee. The qualifying process is based upon the following criteria: - Experience in the tourism or travel business, particularly in the Asia Pacific Region - Be a senior decision maker or consultant, negotiator and influencer from your outbound department with high level responsibilities and have purchase authority to contract with our supplier and make budgetary decisions of purchasing on the show floor - Organise outbound groups/events to multiple destinations. - Purchase record in the Asia Pacific Region that shows continuous purchase of products or a strong intention to purchase - Demonstrate that you regularly work with travel supplier for Leisure or MICE products and services - Buyers must attend all business appointments scheduled throughout the event (entire 3 days of business sessions).On qualification, you will receive an e-mail to notify if you have been successfully accepted on to the program within 6-8 weeks and also be able to check back with the Buyer Secretariat team at the e-mail address: buyer@atfthailand2018.com (+66 2) 250 5500 Ext.1213 Fax: (+66 2) 652 8215 on the status of your application. Message from the Minister of Tourism and Sports

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, I am deeply honoured and it is indeed a privilege for Thailand to be the host of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2018, under the theme “Sustainable Connectivity, Boundless Prosperity”, to be held from 22–26 January, 2018, in Chiang Mai province, the “Rose of the North”.

This theme reflects the Thai government’s awareness of ASEAN as a community of opportuni-ty and people-centredness for a better livelihood under the mechanism of sustainable development. By connecting together in all aspects, we have created the economic and social opportunities for our people, which has resulted in the reduction of the development gap between all member coun-tries.

In addition, the border cities that are being administered to prevent and reduce negative impacts are the consequences of boundless economic connectivity and prosperity.The key to connectivity is the realisation of both the physical and spiritual aspects of the hearts and minds of our peoples in order for us to create an environment of peace and understanding between each other. This will no doubt be the road to prosperity for the people of ASEAN, and our efforts will be an indication to the world that tourism extends beyond numbers and figures.

Now we have become united as a single force bearing endless potential for the development of tourism, trade, investment, human capital, and so many other aspects that are required for main-taining a decent level of living for everyone. By reinforcing human security for all, we are collectively addressing the challenges facing our region and peoples – be they global economic and financial crises, climate change, food and energy, security, infectious diseases, or natural disasters. ASE-AN’s collective voice and views on these issues have been heard on the world stage and reflect the vibrant spirit of cooperation among us and our recognition of our shared destiny. We are recognised by the world as a region that offers unique, vibrant, local tailor-made experiences that travellers from all over the globe come to see for themselves.

Today we stand together, united as a single force working towards the sustainable develop-ment of our beloved tourism industry, and as friends of tourism we will develop our tourism industry and enhance the capabilities of our potential in order for us to move forward into the future together.

Fees and Charges ATF 2018 rates for TRAVEX booths and delegates are as follows:

- In 2018, TRAVEX will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 24 - 26 January.Be part of the key component of ATF and register now at www.atfthailand2018.com- All registrations to be submitted online

• Minimum order 1 TRAVEX Booth and 1 Full Delegate is required.• Full Delegate registration fee applies to the first applicant of the participating organisation and Co-Delegate fee applies to the subsequent registered person. Both are allowed to register any number of accompanying persons although such persons will not be allowed to access to the TRAVEX area.• “Member” refers to any of the following: - Officials and staff of ASEAN NTOs. - Members of Travel Agents Associations: ASITA, ASTINDO, ATAB, ATTA, BATA, CATA, LATA, NATAS, PHILTOA, PTAA, UMTA AND VITA. - Members of Hotel Associations: BAH, CHA, HRAP, IHRA, LHRA, MAH, MHA, SHA and THA. - Officials and staff of ASEANTA-member airlines namely AirAsia Berhad, Cambodia Angkor Air, Garuda Indonesia, Lao Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Philippines Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Vietnam Airlines, as well as other national carriers of ASEAN member countries. - Each ASEAN NTO is entitles to one complimentary booth, with on seller delegate exempted from the registration fee.
