9.1. Meeting Called to Order The Chairperson, Keith Miller, calls the meeting to order at 11:26am. 9.2. First Aid

o First Aid is available thru St. Johns Ambulance with a 20% discount for BCIT students o Keith will try to arrange a class at ATC for students, will weekdays or weekends work

best? o Sign-up sheet for the first aid class will be available soon

9.3. Bursaries & Awards

Bursary available for even numbered classes o Talk to Susan in the main office for information

Student Initiative Fund from BCITSA o For courses or conferences outside of BCIT related to your field of study o Applications available at www.bcitsa.ca o The Next deadline to apply is January 16th followed by April

9.4. Student Services

o Financial Aid will no longer be visiting ATC in person but will be available, along with most other student services, via skype conferencing in the ATC library

o This is a pilot project o Information brochures will be handed out and are available from the office or Keith

Gym wall frosting o Our input has been passed on and they will be working on it soon.

Parking – motorcycles & scooters

o Should be dedicated spots at a discount price o Keith notes parking is an ongoing issue and has not been met with good results in past. He

will pass along the concerns to the facility and Associate Director. Toilet Seat covers

o Keith has already inquired about them and was denied as no other campus has them Water Availability

o Additional water fountains or water coolers Vending Machines

o Snack vending machines for when the cafeteria is closed 9.6. Events

Co-ed Pool Tournament o February 10th @ Professor Mugs Pub – tickets available o Pigeon Park band and great prizes o Goal is to have a team from all campuses, please inquire with your classes

Wright Brothers Flying Extravaganza on February 23rd @ ATC o FREE Fun contest to build planes and fly off 2nd floor of HUB o Looking for volunteers to help & promote event!

9.7. BCITSA info

The SA hygienist will be at ATC once a month on a Tuesday for FREE teeth cleaning for all Full-time BCIT students. Please tell your classes to sign-up by contacting: Soheil Iravani, RDH
