Develop a travel profile form for each traveler you support. Create a standard travel intake form/checklist to help you get all of the details for each trip you plan. Put all travel details on your traveler’s digital calendar in addition to the printed itinerary for quick access on the go. Download all travel apps for hotels, ground transportation, airlines, restaurants, etc. and group them into a travel folder on your executive’s mobile devices. Create a travel itinerary for every trip – whether it’s requested or not. Be proactive in preparing your executive for his/her trip before they leave. Research the destination and its health and security info. Follow up with your travelers as soon as they return to retrieve receipts and get feedback on trip details so you can update your notes for future trips. Stay current as a travel planner by reading travel blogs and newsletters, connecting with travel experts on social media, doing research, asking other travelers, and traveling yourself whenever possible!
