What to ExpectEach week, children in Grades K- 3 will jump into action, participate in exciting outdoor activities, explore nature, become involved in performing and creative arts, play a part in group activities and enjoy special events. Activity Blocks are sprinkled throughout each week, giving campers fun and variety in their camp day.

Campers will expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly, have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable!

2The Rhoades School Encinitas – Summer Camp 2020

What to ExpectWe take our Grades 4 & 5 campers to the next level. They will be participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and special events.

Grades 4 & 5 campers will be given an opportunity to be our Leaders in Training this summer. Campers will participate in activities that are meant to boost confidence and teach the skills necessary to be leaders anywhere they go.

Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and special events that take advantage of resources in the local area.

Extreme Campers (Grades 4 & 5) will receive an Extreme Camp t-shirt.

Our daily pep rally is a time for campers to gather for songs,chants

and challenges that promote collaboration.

It’s showtime! Campers will create, design, act, perform and everything

in-between.

We’ll keep campers moving and thinking as they play sports and games and participate in timed challenges on

their own and with friends.

Let the games begin! Campers will practice sportsmanship and critical

thinking while playing fun video and board games with their peers.

Art is more than just paintinganddrawing. We’ll provide campers with

different mediums and projects to keep them inspired.

Campers will have a blast as they initiate, plan and manage academicand

enrichment projects all summerlong.

Lights! Camera! Action! Campers’ creativity will shine as they explore

photography and videography projects.

By participating in exciting S.T.E.A.M. activities, campers will ask questions,

design, build, create and maybe spark an idea that will someday change theworld.

Campers will join forces to solve mysteries, complete puzzles and build with LEGOs, K’nex, blocks and other

recycledmaterials.

Our campers will pay it forward as they help kids in need by planninga

community service event from brainstorm to implementation.

Prepare to be amazed. Campers will explore the exciting world of

entertainment, including cartooning, magic, puppeteering, andmore.

Campers will experiment withmusical instruments, develop an appreciation

for past and present music, and express themselvescreatively.

Sprinkled throughout each week, Activity Blocks give campers fun and variety in their camp day.

Policies & ProceduresRHOADES SUMMER CAMPSRegistration opens Wednesday, February 26. All Rhoades School camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For camps that reach capacity, waiting lists will be established.

A hard copy of the registration form can be downloaded from our website and submitted to The Rhoades School. One registration form per child please.

Registration is not complete until all forms and payment have been received.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DISCOUNTTo take advantage of the early bird waived registration fee of$35, please register on or before Friday, May 8.

BRING A FRIEND DISCOUNTCurrent Rhoades School students will receive a $25 credit forthem and a referred friend for each week of camp sign up. The referred friend must not have attended a Rhoades School Summer Camp previously or be a currently enrolled student. Discount cannot be combined with any other promotional offer.

REGISTRATION FEEAfter May 8, there is a $35 registration fee for all camps.All registration fees are non-refundable.

PAYMENTSPayment in full is due at time of registration. The Rhoades School accepts checks, Visa, Mastercard or Discover Card. Please make checks payable to; The Rhoades School and mail to 141 S. Rancho Santa Fe Rd, Encinitas CA 92084. For credit card payments, please contact the Business Office at 760-436-1102, ext. 303 or email [email protected].

CAMP CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDSIf we are unable to offer camp, we will refund both your application fee and camp costs two weeks prior to camp starting.

If you need to cancel your child’s participation in camp for any reason, please do so 14 days prior to their scheduled camp week for a full refund of the camp cost. Requests for cancellation made less than 14 days prior to the start of camp are non-refundable. The registration fee of $35.00 is non-refundable.

• All policies and procedures of The Rhoades School apply to the summer programs. This includes high standards for personal behavior and dress code. Participants are to wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.

• Material fees are included in total cost.• There are no provisions for make-ups if a participant is absent.• All summer participants must submit a completed registration

form and emergency card before participating in Rhoades School Summer Programs.

• Students must bring their own lunch and snacks.
