Less than an hour away from the park you’ll find the popular coastal resort of Southend-on-Sea where you can enjoy all the traditional pleasures of the seaside with a modern twist. The world-famous pier stretches out for more than a mile into the Thames Estuary and you can take a unique train ride

from the shore to the pier head. Surrounding the entrance of the pier you’ll find the Adventure Island; a family-friendly, free admission theme park with over 50 rides and attractions.
