Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park is
almost 200 acres of beautiful countryside and
woodlands stretching from Cherry Orchard
Way, Rochford, to Grove Woods, Rayleigh.
This new park has been planted with
hundreds of thousands of young trees and
shrubs since its inception in the year 2001
and includes a beautiful lake, bridleways and
mown walks.
Who are the Friends of Cherry Orchard
Jubilee Country Park?
Friends of Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country
Park is a group of like minded people who
care about the future development of the
park and want to ensure that it continues to
reflect the needs of all those who enjoy using
it, ramblers, riders, cyclists, dog walkers,
adults and children alike. Membership of the
group costs just £5.00 per household per
annum, which enables us to hold regular
meetings, provide Newsletters and maintain
an informative website.
What are our aims?
Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park was
opened by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne in
2003. It is a young park and we are privileged to
be able to watch it’s development and play a
part in the way the park evolves. The “Friends”
have a very good relationship with Rochford
District Council and are involved in consultation
exercises that affect the way the park will
develop in the future.

To act as a focus for bringing the community

mutual appreciation and respect.
To protect, conserve and enhance The Cherry
Orchard Jubilee Country Park as a place of
freedom, recreation and enjoyment for the long
term benefit of all sections of the local
community.
To provide funding to maintain and increase the
facilities in the park including working in part-
nership with other bodies.
To involve park users and local people, including
local schools, in planning, decision-making and
aspects of management affecting the park, or
specific facilities within the park so that the park
may best serve the local community.
