Dear friendsGreetings from AIAARO 2013 ! Hope this will find you in best of your health and good spirit. I cordially invite you to the 8th Annual National Conference of All India Association for Advancing Research in Obesity – AIAARO 2013 at Pune. AIAARO 2013 is a great opportunity for all of us to interact with each other on a single and common platform to share the information as well as our expertise in OBESITY & METABOLIC DISEASES : Diagnosis , Management , Prevention and Research. Such a national platform is essential to bring forth the latest studies and methods in our fight against obesity. The Scientific Program of AIAARO 2013 is comprised of scientific sessions and Workshop; which includes Plenary Sessions, Debates, Orations, Panel Discussion and Meet the expert sessions. We are sure that the content of scientific program would be highly useful for the practitioners. We have carefully selected and designed the entire scientific program in such a way to be useful and encompass the maximum possible topics related to the OBESITY . We have eminent personalities to chair the sessions and expert speakers from

across the country. Our faculty consists of the best of talent from India and Several scientists from other parts of the globe. Every other day we read in the news papers about various studies being conducted , survey done to show how these life style disorders are taking a toll on our health and severely affecting not only the older age groups but also the younger generation. Shaniwarwada was the stately mansion originally built as the

residence of the Peshwas. The foundation of the mansion was laid

by Bajirao 1 in the year 1730 AD and construction was completed in

1732 AD at a cost of Rs. 16,120. Several additions were made to

the palace like fortification walls with bastions, gates and court halls

by his successors.

The University of Pune is located in northwestern , . It was established on February 10, 1948. Spread over a 411

2acres (1.66 km ) campus, the university is home to 46 academic departments. The university has been given the highest "A" rating by the

(NAAC) for its overall performance. The university is home to IUCAA, an institute for astronomy.

Agakhan Place is about 2 kms away from Bund Garden on Pune-Nagar Road. Agakhan palace

is of Italian arches and spacious lawns. The palace covers an area of 19 acres. Sultan

Mohammad shah Agakhan built this Palace in 1892. This place does not look like it would have

been used as a prison, but Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi and others were kept under

imprisonment over here.

Sinhagad Fort is perched on an

isolated cliff of the Bhuleswar range of

the Sahyadri Mountains, it is situated

on a hill rising 1312 metres above sea

level. This fort has had quite a long

history, The Kaundinyeshwar temple,

the caves and the carvings indicate

that this fort had probably been built

two thousand years back
