Have toddler say “let there be light” and turn on light when toddler recites phrase. Also sing: “This Little Light of Mine”. Use yellow paint on blue construction paper to paint shapes. Talk about the shapes and colors. Hang a toy bird from the tree and put toy fish in the water. Have toddler play in the water; use a net to catch the fish. Talk about the bird and fish—where they live, what colors they are, noises they make, who made them, etc. Memory Work: “Day 5: God made birds fly and fish a‐live” (repeat through out day)

When you pick up an animal, talk about what noise the animals makes. Sing: “God made animals speak in special ways. Activity: Read Gwen Ellis’ Toddler Bible, story ‐ “Noah and the Big Boat”, page 24‐29. Using play tools, pretend to build a boat using a canoe/bathtub/pool as the pretend ark. Build a ramp from the ground to the pretend ark. Gather animals from around the house or use wooden ark animals, and help the animals walk in 2 by 2 while making their animal sound. Use a spray bottle to pretend its raining. Memory Work: Who built the ark? “Noah” (repeat throughout day) Animal noises

JERICHO Song: The Lord told Joshua to go to Jericho, And to march seven times around, He followed faithfully the blessed Lord's command, And the walls came tumbling down. Yes the walls! Activity: Read Gwen Ellis’ Toddler Bible, story ‐ “Joshua and the Wall”, page 90‐95 Build a city wall with blocks, walk around while counting to 7, make trumpets to blow on out rolled paper, old milk container with the bottom cut off, or empty paper towel roll, and knock the wall down. Activity: Read Gwen Ellis’ Toddler Bible, story ‐ “David and the Giant”, page 104‐107 Read “David and Goliath” Pop Up by John Patience Go outside and find 5 rocks, different sizes. Make the stand up role people and replay the story with them and the rocks. Talk about big versus small (goliath/rocks). Find other objects in the house and decide if they are big or small. Memory Work: Who fought Goliath? “David” (repeat throughout day).

Put a baby in a box with grass, and line up animals around the box. Tiptoe around the box and peek in the box. Talk about what animals are around baby Jesus.
