OCTOBER MONTH OF THE ROSARY October is traditionally the month of the rosary when we reflect on this gospel-based prayer, Pope St. John Paul II's favorite prayer.

ATTENTION USHERS We are doing a head-count at all the weekend Masses in the month of October. Please write down the time and date of the Mass along with the count. Thanks for your cooperation.

OCTOBER: PRO-LIFE MONTH We pray for respect for all life, from conception to natural death. In the past year some politicians have advocated for the parents’ right to abort their child AFTER the child is born. We call that murder.

PARISH FAIR The final total for the Labor Day weekend parish fair showed a profit of $28,886, after all expenses were paid. This is a tremendous help to Corpus Christi. Thanks to all who volunteered/participated.

GRAND ANNUAL Just to give you a “heads-up”: October is also the Grand Annual month. We hope to have materials for you soon! Your support is appreciated.

19th Annual Project Warm & Fuzzy Ashley Bolis, a resident of the Merrimack Valley and

Corpus Christi parishioner is continuing a project which she started as a student at St. Monica’s Grammar School. The project is called “Warm &

Fuzzy. Beginning Saturday, October 5th through November 24th (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) there will be a box at the handicap entrance of the Church where you may drop off new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and socks (for children, babies and adults). You may also drop off your donations at the rectory. These articles will be distributed to the needy during the winter months. Any help you can give Ashley with her project will be greatly appreciated.

Next week, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters. Please be generous. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES

Classes for Kindergarten through Grade 8 are held at the Parish Center at 34 Common St. on Sundays as scheduled (about three per month).

High School Confirmation classes are held in the Rectory Meeting Rooms at 35 Essex St. on Sundays as scheduled (about two per month).

Classes for both groups are held from 10:15am to 11:45am, conveniently timed for family attendance at either the 9:00am English Mass or the 12:00pm Spanish Mass.

Registration forms and schedules have been sent out to all parents who had children registered this past year. If you did not receive this, or if you are new, you may pick up a registration packet at the rectory or at the ramp entrance of the church. If you prefer, you may wait to register at the parish center on the first day of classes. Your children will be placed in their grade-level class immediately.

This Monday, October 7th is the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary. Please join the members of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality for the 12:05P.M. Mass in the Lower Church. Afterwards we will recite the Rosary together in honor of the Blessed Mother. Hope to see you there!



Next weekend is our monthly food collection for our neighbors in need. Please bring your nonperishable food to Mass this weekend or to the Rectory during the week. Currently Our Food Pantry is in desperate need

of the following items: macaroni & cheese, rice, beans, crackers, beef stew, powder milk, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, soup & meat. Our council would also ask that any donations of food NOT BE OPEN, NOR OUTDATED, and please NO DENTED CANS.

“Lanoso y Abrigado” Ashley Bolis, una residente del Valle del Merrimack y una feligresa está continuando un proyecto que ella comenzó cuando ella era estudiante en la escuela

secundaria de Santa Mónica. El proyecto se llama “Lanoso y Abrigado” (“Warm & Fuzzy”). Comenzando el domingo 7 de octubre hasta el 24 de noviembre (el domingo antes del Día de Acción de Gracias) hay cajas en las entradas de la Iglesia en donde usted puede dejar estos artículos que sean nuevos. Gorros, manoplas, guantes, bufandas y calcetines (para niños y adultos) recuerde que estén NUEVOS. Estos artículos serán distribuidos al Albergue Lazarus House para la gente sin hogar, los pobres y los necesitados durante los meses de invierno. Se les agradece de antemano su generosidad

CLASSES De Educación Religiosa
