Our international collaborations enable us to share expertise with our partner institutions – and enhance our efforts to prepare Stirling students for success as global citizens in a fast-moving world.
The City of Stirling and our beautiful 330-acre campus offer our student and staff community a unique blend of Scottish tradition and a cosmopolitan feel. Stirling provides a fantastic base to explore one of the world’s most vibrant, welcoming and inspiring countries.

As Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence, the University of Stirling has one of the best reputations for sport in the UK.
Our students rated us first in Scotland for sports facilities1,which include a 50m swimming pool and a nine-hole golf course.
As the home of Scotland’s National Swimming Academy, the Scottish National Tennis Centre and Triathlon Scotland, our campus is a formidable training ground for top Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Our student athletes regularly compete at world-class events, including the Commonwealth Games, the Olympic Games and the Walker Cup. In 2016, we welcomed our Olympic athletes home from Rio with three silver medals.

As a global university, we have an important role to play in promoting sustainability, both locally and internationally.
Sustainability is embedded in everything we do, whether it’s through teaching and research, or the services we offer students and staff.

We embrace innovation by investing in new technologies, and constantly review and renew our business practices. This enables us to deliver services that meet the needs of our students, staff and stakeholders.
