ASTROTURF APPEAL

BUILDINGFOR THEFUTURE

We aim to continue to enhance our provision on site and intend to lay down anAstroturf hockey pitch, with floodlights, on the existing shale pitches in front of theSports Hall. Full planning permission for the facility has been granted. The situationis ideal as the Sports Hall has changing facilities for home and visiting teams andthere is car parking space alongside.

The target for this project is £500,000 - this will cover the installation of a high qualitysand-dressed pitch with the necessary safety fences, floodlights, accessories anddesign fees.

Such a facility will be of great benefit to our pupils now and in the years tocome, as well as to the wider community.

DEAR FRIENDSFriends’ School Lisburn has a proud sporting tradition. We are fortunate to havespacious grounds at School and are committed to ensuring that all our pupilsenjoy the best possible facilities. To that end, over recent years we have madesignificant investment in our purpose built Sports Hall and Fitness Suite, two setsof Astroturf tennis courts, two ‘Prunty’ rugby pitches and cricket wickets.
