ASTER 5000 MAXIMUM DEMAND CONTROLLER
The Maximum Demand Charge often represents a large proportion of the total bill and may be based on only oneisolated 30 minute episode of high power use. Considerable savings can be realized by monitoring power use andturning off or reducing non-essential loads during such periods of high power use. ASTER 5000 is a realistically pricedstand alone controller suitable for small to large consumers wishing to reduce their maximum demand in an economicaland simple manner.
ASTER 5000 Maximum Demand Controller is installed to monitor the maximum demand of electricity power used in allhigh tension/low tension industry to ensure that demand should not exceed the Contracted demand with the ElectricSupply Authorities.
ASTER 5000 is a high precision Microcontroller Device with capability to measure both instantaneous and cumulativevalues in electrical feeder. The parameters are displayed in multiple screens that can be scrolled up and down by frontpanel buttons. The energy flow is monitored both way for Import and Export. This meter indicates a Maximum Demandthreshold crossing and can take suitable action.
