There are 10 million pints of Guinness drunk daily around the world

About DublinDublin is the capital of Ireland and is located on the east coast in the province of Leinster at the mouth of the River Liffey. The combination of world class business and rich culture make Dublin one of the most visited cities in Europe. Dublin is small for a capital city with a population of 1.2 million, but for what it lacks in size it most definitely makes up for in personality.

Visitors of Dublin can expect to be impressed by the various things to do in the city, from the Irish Museum of Modern Art and St Patrick’s Cathedral to the famous Guinness Storehouse. Some historic landmarks in Dublin date back hundreds of years, including Dublin Castle which was founded by King John in 1204. The capital is a living museum of its history depicted in the beautiful architecture and vibrant colours throughout the city.

Beyond its impressive collection of landmarks and tourist attractions, the diverse population makes Dublin an all-inclusive, multicultural community. Voted one of the friendliest cities in the world by the CN Traveler in 2018, the approachable locals make the city even more enjoyable to visit.

Weather in DublinIn July the temperature in Dublin averages at around 16 degrees celcius with highs and lows averaging from between 12-19. Despite the likely warm temperatures, Irish weather can be somewhat unpredictable, so a light rain jacket is recommended.

CurrencyThe currency used in Dublin is the Euro.

Dublin’s O’Connell Bridge is one of the only bridges in Europe to have the same width as its length

Almost 50% of the population of Dublin is under the age of 25, making it one of the youngest cities in Europe

St Valentine, The Patron Saint of Love, lived in Dublin
