NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Associated Students of Berkeley City College Council will hold a Regular meeting on September 5th, 2019 at 12:20 PM.. The meeting information is noted below. The ASBCC Council reserves the right to suspend the orders of the day if necessary to conduct business. All ASBCC Council meetings are held in locations that are wheelchair accessible. Other disability-related accommodations will be provided to persons with disabilities upon request. Persons requesting such accommodations should notify the ASBCC Secretary Tenzing Gendun at [email protected] no less than three (3) working days prior to the meeting. The ASBCC Council will make efforts to meet requests made after such date, if possible. Please contact the ASBCC Council Secretary for any agenda related questions.

E. Public Comment This segment of the meeting is reserved for persons desiring to address the ASBCC Council on any matter of concern that is not stated on the agenda. A time limit of three (3) minutes per speaker and fifteen (15) minutes per topic shall be observed. The law does not permit any action to be taken, nor extended discussion of any items not on the agenda. The ASBCC Council may briefly respond to statements made or questions posed, however, for further information, please contact the ASBCC Council Secretary Tenzing Gendun at [email protected] for the item of discussion to be placed on a future agenda. (Brown Act §54954.3)
● Student Ambassadors Minhal and Anastasia Klimko present idea for an online Student housing board for BCC students who need help finding living arrangements.
● The board to be a student resource that isn’t backed by the school but something ASBCC and Ambassadors work together to create.
● To be brought up at the next senators meeting.

Somos Maiz Launch Party Funding Request ( Max Frincke | Discussion and Action | 5 Min ) ● Launch party to showcase the importance of Latin culture during Hispanic heritage month. ● VPA Obi Onuoha Motions to grant funding of $218.50 to Latinx for Somo Maiz launch party. ● VPA Mia Lyon Seconds ● Motion passes 11/0/1
B. Add the appointment of Nyia Garrett to Justice position for next week's agenda ( Max Frincke | Discussion and Action | 1 Min )
● Nyia Garrett to be appointed as the Justice the following week of September 5th ● Senator Cardenas motions to add appointment of Nyia Garrett for justice position to next weeks
