You don’t have to pay for the early intervention support you getfrom providers of an NDIS plan.

The NDIS supports early intervention at any stage of life butchildren older than seven years need to have a permanent andsignificant disability to get support.

If you would like any additional information on the NDIS , pleasebrowse through their website at the link below:

Have a safe and happy end of Term 4 everyone.

Mind Up

In weeks 4-7 of term 4 in MindUp where we areTaking Action Mindfully we are focussing onLesson 14:

Performing Acts of Kindness

Ripple effect of Kindness

Through the MindUP curriculum your childmight have been asked to imagine thatkindness is like a drop of water. They mayhave done an experiment seeing how the drop of waterproduces ripples moving outward making a progressively widercircle. The focus allows children to see how one act of kindnesscan have a “ripple” effect on others. How a little kindness thatthey show to others may have a far reaching effect.

There have been many times that this idea of the “ripple” havebeen explored. The movie Pay it Forward, a promotion in recenttimes by a local radio station Tag You’re It are some of the waysdifferent people have tried to spread the word about spreadingkindness. Encouraging us to reflect upon the fact that whenwe receive kindness, to fully appreciate it and perpetuate thekindness, we should then look for opportunities to do kindnessacts for others.

What are some reasons as to why you should encourageyour child to show kindness?

What are some ways you could encourage your child toshow kindness?

This list goes on. Remember, performing acts of kindness hasbeen shown to boost the positive energy of all involved, boththe one who gives and the one who receives.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep itfrom themselves – JM Barrie “Peter Pan”
