CREDIT CLASSES

A.S. DEGREEPERFORMING ARTS:MUSIC TRACKThe associate degree program gives students the chance to develop musical skills while taking part in a larger artistic curriculum that includes theatre, dance, visual arts and more. Music track students take private lessons and receive a foundation in music theory, aural skills and history in preparation to audition for a four-year school. Students may study an instrument, voice or composition and have many opportunities to showcase their skills in large ensembles such as chorus, orchestra, jazz ensemble and show choir, and act in a main stage musical.

CERTIFICATE MUSIC PERFORMANCEThe certificate program is designed for the student seeking further musical study before auditioning as an applied music major at a four-year music college or conservatory. In addition to performance preparation, the program provides a foundation in music theory and history.
