His special interest is in prenatal screening, diagnosis and therapy of fetal abnormalities, twin pregnancy, preterm delivery, fetal growth restriction, and external cephalic version. He and his unit have successfully launched in Hong Kong the first trimester Down screening, maternal carrier screening for Fragile X disease, newborn expanded metabolic screening, array comparative genomic hybirdisation for prenatal diagnosis, fetoscopic laser therapy for twin-twin transfusion, and radiofrequency for fetal reduction. He also participated in the research and clinical application of maternal circulating cellfree fetal DNA for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis. Programme Structure Students are required to complete 26 credits in 2 years. Objectives By the end of the programme, students are able to 1. Acquire advanced knowledge and skills in the

daily management of pregnant women; 2. Promote and provide evidence based care to

women and their families; 3. Critically evaluate and analyse the midwifery

practice in their working area. Organizers The programmes are jointly organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and The Nethersole School of Nursing, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Admission Requirements In addition to the general requirements of the CUHK Graduate School, applicants should be Currently working professionals with both registered nurse and midwife qualifications. They also have to meet the minimum entry requirements of the Graduate School.
