ASSOCHAM has launched various programmes in

different parts of India to foster sustainable

development and bridge inequalities on voluntary

basis. The Foundation aims to focus on the issues

that demand urgent actions, solution and

measurable results for the society. With this

foundation ASSOCHAM strengthens the

commitment of empowering the weaker section

of the society and to contribute to a better society.

We believe that CSR is to invest part of our profits

beyond business, for the larger good of the

society. It is a form of corporate self-regulation

integrated into a business model. It is an activity

with an aim to embrace responsibility for the

company's actions and encourage a positive

impact through its activities on the environment,

co n s u m e rs , e m p l o ye e s , co m m u n i t i e s ,

stakeholders and all other members of the public

sphere who may also be considered as

stakeholders. As companies face themselves in

the context of globalization, they are increasingly

aware that corporate social responsibility can be

of direct economic value. Although the prime goal

of a company is to generate profits, companies can

at the same time contribute to social and

environmental objectives by integrating corporate

social responsibility as a strategic investment into

their business strategy.
