Assistant/Associate Professor
(Art History, Art Appreciation, Studio, Graphic Design and Museum/Gallery Assistant)
Department of Art
University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
Appointment: Full-Time/9 month tenure-track appointment, (85% teaching and 15% Museum
and Gallery Assistant).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in art history, art appreciation and studio
courses.
Advise students, participate in collaborative technology and grant
research.
Collaborate with faculty on community service program development.
Collaborate with the Department of Art Chair on developing,
implementing and evaluating the BS in art programs.
Collaborate with faculty on the revisions and updates to the Department
of Art Handbook.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Art History (Prehistory to Contemporary/African-American Art)
or MFA in studio art with teaching experience.
Prior experience in teaching, research and grant writing.
Substantial experience as a practicing and exhibiting visual artist.
Prior experience with museum and gallery operations.
Salary and Rank: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
