Points are awarded to Service Providers that:
•Have been in business for a number of years and have built up a reputation for reliability and service excellence.
•Are members of a recognised trade association(s) and/or have been approved by various Assistance Companies.
•Commit to response times that are better than acceptable given the specific conditions.
•Charge rates that are in line with the rest of the industry considering their location and circumstances.
•Operate a 24-hour service (towing contractors, plumbers, electricians etc).
•Have sufficient communication (cellphone/radio) with their operators at all times.
•Ensure their operators receive first aid training (towing contractors).
•Are comprehensively insured, including Professional Indemnity insurance.
•Operate vehicles that are less than five years old, and if not carry a full service history (towing contractors).
•Provide a general automotive supply service, including access to qualified mechanics, auto electricians and
locksmiths, and who are able to provide Minor Roadside Assistance to motorists such as jumpstarts, tyre changes
and emergency fuel supply (towing contractors).
It is important to note that:
Impossible to ensure that SP’s information is always accurate or remains exact.
In this regard we rely heavily on customers to report any discrepancies, which can
result in immediate suspending of the Approved Service Provider, and revoking
the approval should such negligence be confirmed.
