    Part1: Privacy Breach

In may 2014, [1]eBay-the American online auction site announced that its network database was

hacked .The ebay said that customers' names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, physical addresses, birth date, and phone numbers were comprised in this hack. So, it urged all its million users to change the

account passwords and also more positively informed that customers' financial information was not

stolen. The ebay technical team had a regress testing on its corporation database and found the reason

behind the cyber attack. The ebay security team informed that the cyber attackers had stolen the login

credentials of few employees and thus, they got the access to the ebay's corporate network.

The security researcher (Jorder jones) looked into this issue [2] and found that hacker installed the

java scripts into the server page, where customers are generally bidding. Thus, they tried to hijack the

customers data to get from the browser cookies. Finally, ebay confirmed that there are no illegal

transaction occurrence yet and informed users to change the passwords immediately.

    Part2: Beneficial Use Case:-

The Unique Identification Authority of India[1] started a project called 'Aadhar'. The Aadhar is a 12

digit unique number assigned to each citizen of india. Currently, there are many identity cards in india

like driving license, passport, voter id, pan card and ration cards. Due to these multiple identities, there

are high chances of multiple data .So indian government wants to eliminate these multiple identities and

setup a common card to emphasize the citizenship. As per the Aadhar project, indian government takes

the citizen's name, gender, birth date, address details, phone numbers, fingerprint pattern, iris pattern and

face model and stores them into database. They checks this database while giving driving license,

selling/purchasing property, opening bank account, applying passport, giving basic commodities to

citizens. This checking process makes no duplication of information and it is also called as anti-corruption

tool. The aadhar data is being updated up-to-date from the resources. The indian government cops also

use this aadhar database to match with the criminal fingerprints and hence, they can catch them so easily.
