Ans. I agree to some extent, but not completely. Today through web conferencing is increasing but still meeting in person and face to face has its worth and importance. There are still plenty of times when face-to-face interaction is more desirable, and often traveling to meet a client is essential for cultivating clients and closing sales.

What is the distinction between videoconferencing and telepresence?

Ans. A video conference allows individuals at two or more locations to communicate simultaneously through two-way video and audio transmissions where as Telepresence is a very advanced form of video conferencing, where separate display devices are used for each user. Its main feature is very high quality video and it requires huge bandwidth. Its fidelity is also very high

Videoconferencing provides value to a business in the followings ways: For example, Rip Curl, a Costa Mesa, California, producer of surfing equipment, uses videoconferencing to help its designers, marketers, and manufacturers collaborate on new products. Executive recruiting firm Korn/Ferry International uses video interviews to screen potential candidates before presenting them to clients.Yes it is smart management. As it reduce travel cost, time cost and at the same time your work is done on time.

Ans. Yes, I will choose to implement video conferencing. Because Before setting up videoconferencing or telepresence, it's important for a company to make sure it really needs the technology to ensure that it will be a profitable venture. Companies should determine how their employees conduct meetings, how they communicate and with what technologies, how much travel they do, and their network's capabilities.

Video conferencing capability is the set of telecommunication technologies which allows the two or more locations to communicate by simultaneous two way video and audio transmission. And it has also called the visual collaboration.

Ans. Follows are the steps I would take to prepare for a web conference as opposed to a face-to-face conference:

First I would decide what you want to accomplish in a meeting to save time and money .

Then I would prepare the spreadsheets, slides, presentations, and documents to present and share with them.

I sign up to a WebEx account for hosting a meeting.Record the conference for those who can not attend the web conference.When the conference is over I would send a thank-you e-mail to participants

and asking them for feedback for using the results to improve future web conferences.
