Assignment 4 (3 different exercises) Structure being tested: Modal forms Level: Intermediate 1. The first test is a performance test (speaking – a role-play with 2-4 candidates performing together). Before the start of the actual role-play exercise the teacher asks the candidates to tell him/her something about themselves in order to loosen them up, make the atmosphere more relaxed and eliminate any potential stress that candidates might have. Next the teacher explains to them the rules of the role-play exercise: they are partners and are planning on opening a café. What would your café need in order to be popular? How would you organize the tables? What could attract more customers to your café? Where the café might be located? How would you decorate the interior? Is there anything that you must not do as the owner?
