Jeff Croiter An American Lighting Designer
So who is this guy ?
Present recipient of the Tony for best lighting design for Peter and the Starcatcher Grew up in Eastchester NY where both of his parents were heavily involved in community theatre Wanted to originally be a rockstar (Don't we all) Had the amazing opportunity when his high-school burnt down and they built a new one with a state of the art theatre. Pro-Designers were hired and students would work underneath.

His first professional paying job was as the assistant lighting designer at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. This is where he interned for Jeff Davis and met Billy Mintzer and Brian McDevitt. All men that would help launch his career. First NY job were assistants to Tom Sturge at The American Jewish Theatre and Ken Posner at Playwrights Horizons 1st Broadway Show Kiki and Herb which he basically got for his work on Jacques Brel (off Broadway)
Does it matter that he won a Tony?
