The development of groundwater resource involves three main

stages namel! e"ploration# evaluation and e"ploitation$ This

stud focuses on the evaluation stage# which generall

encompasses measurement of hdraulic parameters# and

estimation of a%uifer ield$ The analses pumping test data

collected from various organi&ations was used to determine the

hdraulic parameters within the stud area$ Transmissivit valuesrange from 0$' * 8$9+ m+/da# hdraulic conductivit range

from 0$086' * $33 m/da# pumping rates range from $3 * 8

Groundwater maps of the hdraulic parameters were alsodeveloped for the stud area$ These results show that the a%uifers

within the stud area will serve as a sustaina-le water source$

CONCLUSION• The hdraulic parameters of a%uifers in selected wells in ogi 2tate

have -een determined - the analsis of availa-le pumping test data$

Groundwater maps for transmissivit# hdraulic conductivit# -orehole depths and pumping rates have also -een developed$

• Transmissivit values and Ddraulic :onductivit values were

found to -e highest in the western district of the state$ The rate of

pumping however# is highest in the 1astern district$

• .t can -e deduced that wells located in the 1astern 2enatorial istrict

are deeper than those in the =estern and :entral 2enatorial istricts$

This implies that the depth to groundwater is more and therefore it

would -e more difficult and e"pensive to drill -oreholes in this area$

• The a%uifers within the stud area have also -een shown (-ased on

Transmissivit values) to serve as a sustaina-le water source for

domestic uses$
