American Society of Safety Engineers(ASSE), Kuwait Chapter is a premiervoluntary, non-profit Health, Safety

and Environmental organization, whichstrives to provide professional guidance,training, consultancy and resources to theindustrial and social sectors in the region.

As a part of continuous efforts in its pro-fessional journey, ASSE-Kuwait Chapterorganized its 211th Technical Meet (1st inthe term 2016-17) on” Road map to GlobalHSE Certifications (ASP/CSP and QEP)” inKohinoor Banquet hall, Fahaheel Kuwait on25th July 2016.

The Technical Meet began with theopening remarks by Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal,Chapter Secretary. Mr. CH. Rama KrushnaChary, President ASSE Kuwait Chapter in his

welcome address emphasized the impor-tance of attending such technical meets byASSE Members. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal intro-duced the speakers for the day Mr. UjwalRitwik & Mr. Ashok Garlapati

Mr. Ujwal Ritwik, QEP, Working as SeniorSpecialist (TPL) in Kuwait NationalPetroleum Company, Founding President ofASSE Kuwait Chapter, headed ProfessionalDevelopment Conference from 2000 to2011 and currently he is volunteering asAdvisory Committee member of ASSEKuwait Chapter.

Mr. Ashok Garlapati, CSP, Working as HSEConsultant (D&T) in Kuwait Oil Company, isVice President - Global Region of ASSE USA.He Held key positions in ASSE KuwaitChapter, has been ASSE Ambassador for

Middle East, India & SE Asia, PastAdministrator, ASSE- IPS, USA. He is pastPresident of ASSE Kuwait Chapter and cur-rently Advisory Committee member of ASSEKuwait Chapter.

Both the presenters have given an exten-sive information on the certification route,advantage, mode of preparation and waysto apply for each credential. Attendeeseagerly took part in the discussion, partici-pated in Question, and Answer session.

As an honor of appreciation, ASSE KuwaitElected Committee honored both thespeakers for their excellent presentationwith memento. Technical Meeting conclud-ed with close out speech from Mr.Muhammad Alamgir, Vice President.
