Well into the second decade of the new millennium, we have fast forwarded into the paradigm of global citizenship. Social and political barriers no longer conne competence and creativity. Professionals live in a global village, work in a global environment, and manage global workforces. Consequently, global perspective in studentship is of essence. Students need to cultivate professional caliber that compares with the best, foster cultural sensitivity and develop an overarching thought process that combines learning with responsibility for a sustainable world.

Shaheed Udham Singh Group of Institutions, as a centre of excellence has dynamically auned itself to the needs of the fast changing world. e faculty has played a spectacular role of agents in providing transformational education experience. e students, rather than being passive learners have adapted themselves as active learners. Critical engagement and collaborative learning have been the highlights of the professional education here. e results of this rigorously carved out academic atmosphere are not far to see. e SUS Group of Institutions stands tall, thanks to more than 5000 alumni employed across the world in hundreds of top notch companies. Quite a few of them have earned distinction in the public sector and the armed forces as well.

I look forward to welcome you in the SUS family and expect that the SUS ag shall y ever more glorious with your achievements and prociencies. As you pursue your dream with us, I wish you success and God's bountiful blessings. From

When we began the Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology (SUSCET) in 1996 as the rst self nancing private engineering college, we had a long-term vision. It was a vision to develop a global class institution with professional courses that could train human resource for the fast changing corporate and business landscape of the country. e oodgates of opportunity were opening up. Jobs were being created in unprecedented numbers and pay packets were bulging. e time and tide for inception of institution were ideal and we put in the best infrastructure in place and arranged for the best faculty to make the institution a success from day one. ere was an all round zest for success that led to trendseing excellence at academics, holistic learning and all round development of the personality. We networked in the corporate world to secure tie-ups with companies for securing quality placements for the students, summer trainings and workshops. e high decibel proactive approach of the management towards placements has produced envious results. Our students are working wonders in their elds of specializations.

We too have not been resting our oars, while our students were carving their destinies. e SUS Group has now seven institutions in its fold. Each of them has grown to become a paragon of academic excellence. e campus is bustling with activity the year round. Special seminars, guest lectures and interactive sessions with people of eminence are organized for inux of fresh ideas in theory and praxis. ere is a strong focus on inculcation of moral bre, an unimpeachable value system and motivation to build courage to take on the greatest challenges of life. However, we strongly feel that the journey to perfection has no end - whether it is institutional or individual. Success can be impermanent but quest for perfection is permanent. Our endeavour, therefore, is endless.

Laboratories Basic Computing Laboratoryis lab is well equipped with the latest computer systems for the students to discuss each and every aspect of basic computer system. It is used extensively by students for learning of foundation of information technology like MS-WORD, MS-EXCEL, MS-POWER POINT and MS-ACCESS. It is also used for programming using "C".

Data Communication / Hardware/atm LaboratoryIn this laboratory, students are familiarized with Computer Hardware, Installation and networking concepts. Study of transmission media, Conguration of IP address and sharing of resources (CD share and print share) is done along with practical implementation of straight cable and cross cables. In this lab students learn the functional details of various peripheral devices like video display units, disks tapes cartridges printers, Fax- Modems, TV interface, Sound and Video cards, CD-ROM, DVD, Keyboard, Mouse, Digitizers and Ploers, serial and parallel interfacing techniques dierent types of bus connections, handling a peripheral device through the study of Input/output drivers of the operating systems, design and integration of a peripheral device to a computer system.

in Client Laboratoriese Computer Centre has six in Client Laboratories. Compact but mighty HP Dual Core thin clients in these laboratories harnesses the horsepower of a workstation client and provides excellent computing experience to the students. in client usage results in lower administrative costs and greater security. Since all processing occurs on a server and is centrally managed, the local environment is stateless and the hardware has fewer points of contact with processing activity resulting in a lower probability of error. Students experience the advantages of using thin clients in stateless environments. In stateless environments, soware programs do not retain data or conguration seings between processes.

Shaheed Udham Singh Group of Institutions15-16

Data Structures Laboratory Students not only learn the fundamental of programming, but also enhance their skills to analyze the complexity of programs in terms of time and space. Laboratory has multiple servers with Fedora Core 6.0, Red Hat Linux. Desktops are dual bootable systems with Linux and Windows XP/Vista.

Computer Programming (C, C++, JAVA etc) /Operating System Laboratoryis laboratory is used to gain experience of Operating System (Windows, UNIX, Linux, Dos etc.) and the principles of good program design and program testing of C, C++, JAVA etc. languages, which further goes for development of sowares, operating systems and future projects. Students get exposure to the installation, system administration, troubleshooting and usage of a multi-user operating system, networked operating system, stand alone operating system. Students learn SCO UNIX 5.0, Linux, Windows NT and Shell Programming.

System Programming Laboratorye laboratory consists of designing of module which was used by the compiler while compiling the program. ese modules are designed in 'C' language and consist of dierent phases of compiler. Student will also work on automated parsing tool like LEX and YACC.

Computer Networks Laboratorye Networking Lab has well equipped Local Area Network as its backbone. It has proved itself in delivering the concepts of networking such as socket communication, dierent transport and application layer protocols, to the students.

Expert System LaboratoryComputation lies at the heart of understanding all physical and biological systems. Many solutions to the most challenging problems of our lives, our work, and our world, therefore, are based in computation. Expert System Laboratory studies this vast, compelling eld in an eort to unlock the secrets of human intelligence, extend the functional capabilities of machines, and explore human/machine interactions. In this laboratory, projects on forthcoming expert systems are entertained and students program their own ideas simulating human intelligence.
